Endangered Species

The vastness of God’s beautiful creation of our Earth has been a continuous source of inspiration for my work. It is something I believe will be an everlasting exploration throughout my life. Our generation has a great deal of responsibility to protect, respect, and cherish all that the world has provided for us. This duty has motivated me to embark on the journey of painting these creatures, that are unfortunately on the list of endangered species. I pray that we have the Strength to overcome the destruction we have caused. The Courage to break away from our harmful habits and wrongful ways. The Insight to imagine a future where we may find Peace in our connection to the land and seas. I believe that when we look into the eyes of these creatures, we can see a reflection of ourselves. For we are masterpieces crafted by the same hand and molded by the same touch. Through the process of oil painting, I created a sense of deeply rooted connection between the creatures and their surrounding environment, as we are all interconnected with our ecosystems through the circle of life.
